If you decide to custom-order one of our Maternity Styles, we will need a few specific measurements at checkout to get that perfect fit. Please provide your current bust, under bust, belly, hips, and hollow-to-floor measurements.
While most of our measuring instructions can be found in the video on our size chart page, here is exactly how to measure your under bust and belly:
Under Bust: Wearing a well-fitting bra, measure around your ribcage directly beneath your bust (using the bottom of your bra band as a guide). Make sure the tape is level all the way around, and keep it slightly loose for comfort.
Around Belly: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your belly/waist. Keep the tape level and slightly loose so you can breathe easily!
👗 Adding Wiggle Room
Our maternity patterns are specially designed with extra room built-in automatically, so you do not need to add anything extra to your measurements. However, if you would feel safer having a little extra breathing room, you can add an additional 0.25 - 0.5 inches (0.5-1.25cm) to your bust, under bust, belly, and hip measurements.
